Is it just the glass, or the display too?

Every recent iPhone has its front glass and display panel bonded into a single part. A crack is fixed by fitting a new screen assembly, not by replacing the glass alone, so the price is the same whether or not the picture underneath still works.

Signs that the display has been damaged as well as the glass:

  • black, purple or green blotches spreading like spilled ink
  • lines across or down the screen, or a single green line at one side
  • flicker, or brightness that changes by itself
  • patches that ignore your finger, or taps landing where you didn't touch

A damaged OLED panel can deteriorate fast, and loose glass cuts. Until the repair, clear tape across the cracks will keep splinters in place.

Why screen prices vary so much by model

The iPhone 7, 8, XR and 11, along with the SE models, have LCD screens. The iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro, and every model from the iPhone 12 series onwards except the SE, have OLED screens, which cost more to replace, and the bigger and newer the panel, the higher the cost. That is why an older LCD model and a current Pro Max sit so far apart in the table above.

Which screen goes in, and what iOS will say

On recent models, iOS records replaced parts under Settings, General, About, and may display a notice for a screen it cannot verify as made by Apple. If that matters to you, ask us which display your repair uses before you book, and we will tell you plainly.

From booking to a working screen

We arrange the collection, check the phone over before opening it, fit the new screen, and then test the display and everything around it before it comes back to you. The whole process is set out on our iPhone repair in Dubai page, and each stage appears on repair tracking as it happens.

Questions before you book

Price, collection, your data, parts and warranty, answered plainly.

How much is iPhone screen repair in Dubai?

AED 150 (iPhone 7) to AED 1700 (iPhone 17 Pro Max), with 90-day warranty. Whatever the table on this page lists for your model is the price you pay, and collection and return are free.

Does Face ID keep working after a new screen?

It should. The Face ID sensors are separate parts at the top of the phone and stay in your iPhone when the display is changed. If Face ID was already playing up before the repair, mention it when you book so it isn't put down to the new screen.

Is the price in the table what I actually pay?

For the model and repair shown, yes. The listed figure is your total, and collection and return are free. If opening the phone reveals a second problem, such as a bent frame or liquid damage, we tell you what it involves and what it costs.

Should I back up before a screen replacement?

Changing the screen doesn't erase or access your storage, but backing up before handing over any phone is still wise. If the display is too broken to use, an iCloud backup that already runs automatically is enough.

The glass isn't cracked but touch has stopped working. Is it the screen?

Not necessarily. Phantom taps and dead areas can come from the display, a loose connector or software. Book with the symptom described and we diagnose it free before quoting anything.

General questions about booking, collection and warranty are answered in the repair FAQ.
